Digital Startup Awards 2025

On October 28, 2025, Oyu Intelligence presented the Oyu Data AI concept at the "Best Startup Project: Mongolia Semifinal" event at the National Information Technology Park in Ulaanbaatar. Our event record says 15 teams presented. This bundled post does not include an official results link, so participation and placement details should be read as a first-party recap.

About the Competition

According to the event information recorded by our team, the Digital Startup Awards 2025 was organized through Uzbekistan IT Park's StartupBase and involved participants from eight Central Asian countries. The Mongolia semifinal was used to select teams for the regional final in Uzbekistan.

The event was co-organized by:

  • National Information Technology Park
  • KITE Mongolia

The Judging Panel

Our event notes list the following judges from investment, government, programme, and entrepreneurship roles:

  • Madina Zokirova - Program Manager, Uzbekistan IT Park
  • M. Shurentsetseg - Head of Investment and Project Department, National Information Technology Park
  • J. Bat-Ireedui - Board Chairman & CEO, Gund Investment LLC
  • A. Yadamsuren - Head of Developing Startup and Ecosystem Department, Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications
  • Z. Uyanga - Founder & CEO, Happiness Sync

Their questions focused our attention on the intended user, pricing assumptions, and how the proposed product would be evaluated beyond a presentation.

Oyu Data AI: Our Submission

At the event, Oyu Data AI was presented as a product concept for preparing business data, defining shared metrics, building dashboards, and asking questions against approved records. It was not presented in this source as a verified live product.

The platform focuses on:

Data Integration and Processing The proposed workflow connects selected sources and applies repeatable quality checks before analysis. No measured reduction in manual work is claimed here.

Intelligent Analysis The concept includes assisted pattern and anomaly review, with results tied back to the underlying data rather than treated as automatic decisions.

Actionable Insights Presenting findings in a form a responsible manager can review alongside definitions and source records.

Accessibility Designing the interface for teams that do not have a dedicated data-science function, while keeping data ownership and metric definitions explicit.

The Competition Experience

The event placed the concept alongside teams addressing healthcare, education, finance, and other problems. For our team, the useful comparison was how clearly each presentation linked a proposed product to a specific user and need.

Our event notes identify the two teams advancing to the Uzbekistan final as:

  • Egune AI
  • Uwish

We congratulate both teams and look forward to following their progress in the regional competition.

What We Learned

The team recorded four follow-up observations:

1. Clarity in Communication

The presentation needed to state the user, problem, proposed workflow, and evidence boundary before describing the technology.

2. Questions Are Not Market Validation

The judges' questions helped us examine the intended market, pricing assumptions, and product boundary. Competition feedback is useful input, but it does not replace customer use or willingness-to-pay evidence.

3. Regional Context

Other presentations provided context on how teams in the region describe their users, constraints, and business models.

4. Scope Must Stay Concrete

The event reinforced that a broad data-platform vision needs a small first workflow, named data owners, and measurable acceptance criteria.

The Bigger Picture

Oyu Data AI did not advance to the regional final. The useful outcome was a set of questions to carry into later product work.

Moving Forward

The team recorded four follow-up tasks:

  • Refine the proposed features in response to the event questions
  • Clarify our value proposition and target market
  • Strengthen our go-to-market strategy
  • Define what evidence a first pilot would need to produce

Gratitude

We're grateful to:

  • Uzbekistan IT Park for organizing this regional initiative
  • National Information Technology Park and KITE Mongolia for hosting and supporting the Mongolia semifinal
  • The judges for their time, expertise, and constructive feedback
  • The other teams for sharing their presentations
  • Everyone who has supported Oyu Data AI's development

What's Next for Oyu Data AI

This event record describes a concept presentation and the questions it produced. It does not establish that Oyu Data AI is launched, adopted, or delivering measured business results.
